“[For cleansers] I usually wash my face with Cetaphil or Purpose. I have very sensitive skin and they are the only things that are no fail.  I live and die by my Clarisonic. My dermatologist says it’s the best thing for your skin since soap. It makes a world of difference in terms of exfoliating. It allows the products to penetrate deeper and I use it about every other morning. I use La Mer gel for my lotion. I’ve been using it for about two years and usually get it for Christmas ‘cause it’s a big splurge. That works great in the wintertime. I use La Mer eye cream at morning and night; I think it’s important to do both.”

“My lazy day look is just blush and mascara. I do a little bit of my By Terry concealer. I do a touch of NARS blush in Deep Throat and just put mascara on and a quick brow pencil. I love that Benefit mascara, They’re Real. That is really my typical get-up-and-go kind of day.”

“If I know that I’m going to be seeing an important person or I need to take it up a notch, I use Chanel eye shadow in Safari, it’s kind of mauve. Then I do a little bit of Kevyn Aucoin black eyeliner, it’s my favorite. I do a pencil on my eyebrows, but if I am going to be fancy I’ll do a powder. I have to use a lot of under eye concealer because I use Latisse and it darkens my eyes.  It makes such a difference with my eyelashes though! My lashes are very blonde and it makes them so much longer and darker, so I don’t care if it makes my eyelids dark.”

“I have my Cle De Peu lipstick in Number 12 and it has incredible texture to it. It’s so soft and super moisturizing. When I want to go bold I use Tom Ford’s Cherry Lush – it’s a real red. I feel so much better in it. It’s a bit of a mask ‘cause if you have red lipstick on you can get away with anything —  even if I don’t have mascara on, I still look finished.”

“I usually don’t do organic products — when I have tried them in the past they have been a failure — but have recently found this incredible cream called Be Yummy. I bought it at Live Live Organics and it’s completely edible. It’s made from the same sea algae as La Mer and is also made from honey cappings; it works so well. Everyone I give it to is absolutely hooked. It’s not heavy enough for when it’s really really cold, but in the summer it’s killer – and it’s only forty dollars.”

“I’m naturally blonde and I’ve never highlighted it. I love fellow blondes, like Marilyn. She’s so classy and glamorous. I like to have a dark black eye and a high blonde bun. I get my hair cut by Tommy Bucket at Marie Robinson and he is my favorite person. I’ve been going to him since I was nineteen years old. He is one of my good friends and always gives me the perfect wash-and-wear haircut. Most of the time I don’t blow-dry but occasionally I will… I love Bumble and Bumble spray and dry shampoo, whenever I go to Europe I stock up on Klorane powder.”

“I love working with my hands and you’ve actually caught me on an off day — I have really nice nails today but I usually don’t because I’m working with glue and stuff all the time. I like that making hats is kind of a dying craft, there are only ten or twelve of us here that are really a young voice in the field. It’s getting harder and harder to find supplies and there’s a small amount of people who want to wear hats. It’s the preservation of something that’s slowly dying.”
