LOVE AFFAIRS
THE GIVENCHY FIX

It's been raining all week in New York and these ominous grey skies make it pretty hard to get up and go in the morning -- bed just seems way more appealing. So I'll linger between the sheets and opt for that extra cup of tea -- all to avoid leaving the house -- giving me way less time to "put my face on." I have, as a result, mastered a less-than-five-minute makeup routine for these situations.

It’s a three-step, out-the-door process that can even be performed masterfully in a cab ride (for those who are daring.)
I start out with Phenomen’Eyes mascara, which works miracles (love the brown shade for daytime). The brush is perfection and simple to use. Next, I throw on some Blush Gelée. The base is a jelly so it gives me a flush and a touch of luminosity, so I don’t need a highlighter. If I’m not wearing eyeliner, I always put on lipstick. Depending on my mood, I’ll either opt for Rouge Interdit in 26 — a basic nude if I want to keep it simple — or throw on 19, one of my favorite darker shades. And there you have it: a minimal yet polished look, done without breaking a sweat.
