This gal, just stunning. You DEFINITELY are a babe. Loved watching you grow my love.. wait, what am I, your mom?! HA. But great post on you Jess- these photos are too beautiful of you!
New in the mail bag, Chelsea Leyland’s postcard from New York Fashion Week! Chelsea deejayed her way through the week looking beautiful and snapping pictures for The Formula. /
“At the start of fashion week I deejayed Cole Haan’s FNO event. I kept my makeup pretty basic using my favorite red lip crayon by Nars, which has the best name, Cruella.

I loved the Karen Walker show, all the girls had huge bangs that they could barely see out of; I actually really want to cut big bangs myself now. I also loved the peachy lips the girls were all rocking.

That night I slept pretty badly. So I woke up and applied a lot of Ren Active 7 Radiant Gel on my not-so-well-rested eyes. This kept me looking tiptop while I did the music for Naeem Khan’s show. Luckily it went amazingly well, but it’s pretty scary doing the music for such a big show — its definitely a major responsibility.

Before the show, I ducked backstage to wish Naeem good luck, and slip into my Naeem Khan dress.

Suno was incredible. The prints and silhouettes were beautiful as always. I had a blast dj-ing their after-party in a cool Chinatown loft.

I had to snap a picture of my shoes while en route to deejay the Monika Chaing presentation. My trick to wearing high shoes throughout fashion week is to never get a pedicure the week before. It definitely helps when they aren’t baby soft!

Later in the week I went to the Interview Magazine dinner at Milk Studios. By this point I was absolutely exhausted. Some Laura Mercier concealer under my eyes saved the day! Here I am with my friend Maryna Linchuk. And that’s a wrap. Thanks for following my New York fashion week beauty adventures!”

"Basically I tweet for Milk Studios and I write for Milk Made as an ambassador for their site. I’d been at Made Fashion Week a bunch of times before working here and loved it. I've always found Milk so interesting, they do so many different things. On any given day we have some of the top photographers in the world shooting here, it’s such a great environment. The people are all very talented and inspirational."

“When I was a child my mom always told me ‘Wash your face and put on moisturizer and eye cream in the morning and before you go to bed!’ So since I was like eleven I’ve been using moisturizer and eye cream. I use Benefit Total Moisture, which I just got hooked on recently. It’s the only one I’ve used where my skin actually feels refreshed and doesn’t leave me dry. It’s so wonderful. I use Benefit’s It’s Potent! eye cream, which is also great and is in the same cute packaging.”

“When I start my makeup I use boi-ing concealer under my eyes or anytime I have blemishes. It covers and it’s long lasting too, so I don’t look in the mirror during the day and need to fix my face. After that I always wear a bronzer, right now I’m into the NARS combo in Laguna and Orgasm. Sometimes I’ll put MAC mineralize powder on my eyes or cheeks, especially in the summer for a little sparkle. For my lips the benetint stain works super well, it’s wonderful. I’m still looking for the best mascara. I go through a bunch of different ones because I haven’t found the right one yet.”

“My first internship in the city was at Bottega Veneta. I fell in love with New York City, and was like –I can never go back to Buffalo ever again – please can I stay here? I stayed and Bottega hired me afterwards to do a bunch of stuff. They put me on a blog project in 2008, so people weren’t sure about blogs yet. I got really into blogs and started doing all of this research for them on the importance of utilizing Twitter and Facebook as a brand, so that is how I started getting online.”

“I like buying nail polish even though I don’t do my nails that much. I have acquired an enormous nail polish collection for some reason, I just think the bottles are so cute. Normally I always buy Essie but I went to Catbird the other day and saw this Deborah Lippmann one called Happy Birthday – I instantly needed it! I wanted sparkles so it’s perfect. It’s also just pretty and I’ve heard a lot about Deborah Lippmann recently and wanted to try it.”
