Rose products are sprouting up everywhere I look. From decadent rose oil infused with twenty-four carat pink gold to more humble lip balms and scented candles; roses are staging a beauty take over. Throughout history they have been revered for their sweet scent; and thanks to science we now know that certain species of the flower are packed with vitamin C, soothe the skin, and may reduce skin damage and wrinkles. They have been coming onto the scene for a while with the occasional launch of a rose product but now brands like By Terry are creating entire ranges around the flower. So I’ve tested the market and compiled a list of new launches and old classics, here are some of my favorites:
(Diptyque Roses Candle, Dior Crème de Rose Lip Balm, L’Occitane Rose 4 Reines Velvet Hand Cream, By Terry Rose Balm Gloss, Essie mademoiselle, Fresh Rose Face Mask (not shown)

(Sisley Paris Phyto Lip Gloss in: Beige Rose, Rose, Rose Quartz. Korres Wild Rose + Vitamin C Advanced Brightening Sleeping Facial (not shown)

Everyone knows I love ASOS, so you can imagine how fun it was to be featured as their Beauty Junkie in this month’s edition of ASOS magazine. Here are some images from the story I shot highlighting a few of my own beauty essentials.

I usually don’t give a full run down of all the products I am using like I do with my Babes. But I’ve been traveling so much this summer -- in fact, it’s my first full week back in Stockholm in a month -- and I'll be off again this weekend. Being away from home so much has allowed me to perfect the art of sifting through which products are essential and which to leave at home. Alas: here is my fully-tested, must-have list of beauty picks for any long summer weekend.
Korres, Milk Proteins 3 In 1 Cleanser: I am obsessed with this stuff, it doubles as face wash and eye makeup remover. You don’t even need water so it works great on planes, road trips or even when you are too lazy to get out of bed.
SUPER by Dr. Perricone, O-Mega Oil - I love how potent Dr. Perricone’s Chia Seed body oil is. All of the product ranges in the SUPER line are infused with super foods and this oil contains 60% pure Omega-3s. The bottle is small so it packs well and is luxurious so a little goes a long way. I use it just after I get out of the shower for silky smooth skin.
By Terry, Sérum de Rose- Truth be told I am a sucker for anything that smells of rose, this extends to foods as well. So when Terry put out a whole rose range I got very excited. One of my favorites in the line is her serum. I use it in lieu of a moisturizer when wearing BB Cream. It softens my skin after a shower and smells amazing.
Dior HydraLife BB Cream: This beauty balm works as a moisturizer, SPF and a foundation, eliminating my need to bring along sunscreen (for my face). When I use it I see immediate results and it gives my complexion a little extra glow.
Koh Gen Do, Fresh Face, in Apricot Peach: I always bring this blush with me when traveling. I don’t need to pack a brush or worry about it cracking and making a mess in my bag. The applicator is easy to use and only releases a tiny bit of powder at a time. The shade is subtle and perfect for my skin tone.

By Terry, Aqua Lip Tint in Dance Floor: Terry’s new neon orange lip stain comes out way more diluted than it looks in the tube and dries completely matte. When I apply it sparingly it adds a hint of color to my pout during the day. At night I use a touch more for a more dramatic summer look.
Chantecaille, Aquablush in Frivolous: My go to cream shadow for day and night. I dab some on my finger then smudge it on the contours of my eyes to add some depth and subtle luminosity.
CHANEL, Automatic Liquid Liner in black: Liquid liner can be tricky to use, so way to go CHANEL for making your applicator a pen. This makes the whole process much easier. It is great for trips, as you don’t need to worry about bringing a sharpener or smudging, once this dries it is on for the night.
Givenchy, Phenomen’Eyes Effet Extension: Phenomen’Eyes is my favorite mascara, so I always bring it along.
By Terry, Masque Nutri Rose: This mask is a lifesaver. I swear by it because I always see instant results. The texture is more of a balm than what I typically expect from a mask. It absorbs quickly into the skin and you can wash it off after only 5 minutes. It makes my skin more luminous so it’s ideal after a day of travelling or running around.
Dr. Alkaitis, Organic Night Crème: Dr. Alkaitis makes great products and one of my favorites all year round is their night cream. It rehydrates my skin after sun exposure and I feel good going to sleep with it on my face since it contains 100% natural organic ingredients.
