Backstage at J.Lindeberg I chatted with Max Factor lead makeup artist, Tomas Lenneryd who keyed the look for the show.

“The whole palette is made up of various honey shades and the idea behind the freckles is that they are a disturbance in the evenness of the skin. Right now everything on the market is about perfection, mascaras that last for hours and hours, twenty-four hour foundations, nail polishes that last for a week- and we wanted to do something that deviated from that flawlessness. Kind of like a beauty mark, and freckles are a kind of beauty mark in a sense because they are an irregularity of the skin texture. It takes the seriousness out a bit. We used a mix of Max Factor eyebrow pencils, they are less greasy than eyeliner pencils so they tend to last longer. And we combined some muted greyish and brown eyeshadows, that is the trick not to have even size dots in the same color. And for the lips we used in a muted beige color that really gave they girls a full lip.”
