Summer’s on my mind. I’ve spent the past few weeks sorting through this year’s mix of beautiful bronzes and creamy corals. From sexy body balms to golden tints and breezy glosses, there’s a lot to write about so stay tuned. But sometimes seeing the latest and greatest can make you homesick for your favourite few. Before I dive head first into the deep end of new launches, I wanted to share some tried and true beachy classics. These skin care saviours are all you ned to pack for a glowing holiday in the sun. I love them so much that I brought them on my honeymoon to the beaches of Anguilla and St. Lucia. You may even see a few of the crashing waves from the Viceroy Anguilla perfectly timed in the background.
Summer’s hot and sweaty so embrace it. Don’t fight nature bringing a bag of blotting papers and mattifying products to the beach, it’s a battle you are destined to lose. I love a sunkissed glossy look when it’s toasty out. I opt for soothing products that boost moisture and calm the skin, especially after a day on the beach. Estelle & Thild’s BioCalm Day Cream is a must. The ultra gentle formula can be worn morning and night and layered under sunscreen. I also love Tata Harper’s Moisturizer and Oil. The duo can be paired together or worn alone. The oil is a dry oil that wears a bit heavier than most. I apply a thick coating before bed to feed the skin with nourishing vitamins before hitting the sand. For lip protection, Fresh Sugar Lip Balm is an all time favorite. I am partial to their original clear shade. I probably have one in every beach bag I own. On my body I wear a full spectrum SPF like California Baby or Hampton Sun ( 2 of my favorites). Hampton Sun makes an amazing mist for cooling touch ups. I like to combine light coverage with sun protection all summer long, even when I’m not on the beach. Natura Bisse makes the most amazing BB Creams, White Diamond SPF 50 is my jam. It offers total coverage with a slight tint to even skin tone and cover any redness. t is truly perfection, summer’s best friend. And for a touch of slight flush when necessary Zelens blush is a no brainer.
