On a bad day it’s hard not to notice Brazilian/Italian model Flavia Lucini. She has razor sharp cheekbones and striking almond eyes. But at Temperley London was the first time I had seen her new haircut. The short graphic do suits her so perfectly that it feels impossible to imagine her former flowing locks. Hair that pairs that well with a face comes around rarely–I was instantly smitten. Below Flavia shares her impetus for getting the chop.
“I cut my hair two months ago in Paris with Tomoko (Ohamo), she’s amazing. I use one special Japanese product that Tomoko gave me but it’s written in Japanese so I don’t know what it is (laughs). It makes my hair soft with more volume and hold, so it stays in place. I had really long hair before this but I was feeling like I needed a change. I saw this movie from the sixties with a Russian actress, and her hair was amazing. She had a short haircut and was wearing a very straight hat. I went to my agency and said that I needed her haircut.”
