BEHIND THE SCENES
VANESSA BRUNO
Diane Kendal, head makeup consultant with Sunday Riley: “I think that the inspiration for Vanessa is always Jane Birkin. We are doing really gorgeous luminous skin. We are using a lipstick on the cheek to give a very very fresh spring like color, but also very dewy. It looks like they have just been walking and got flushed.”

“We are using a white powdered eye shadow with shimmer and are dusting that on top of the lid, top of the cheekbones, down the center of the nose, top of the lips—to add to that luminous quality. And then we are doing a black thin line very close to the lashes, curling the lashes, brushing the eyebrows, and that is basically it. It is a really kind of simple fresh beautiful look.”

“We are using a combination of the Juno, which is oil that sinks into the skin beautifully. And we are using the liquid foundation on top, the combination gives it a really gorgeous glowing quality”.

Famed French hairstylist and powerhouse Odile Gilbert designed the hair for the show: “So, the hair is pulled back and we have to make little pieces of hair on the side and then attach the hair with an elastic. Next, we crimp the back of the hair only in the middle.”

“Afterwards, we attach all the hair as a ponytail. The inspiration is that she is an intellectual woman with a little touch of punk. The only products we used today are hairspray.”
